It looks like there was a thread on a similar topic before I posted mine but I didn't see it because this group hadn't been picked up by my news server yet when those posts were made. One reason I asked about model sites is that I used to really like the GAMMA 3D model research database, mainly because it had an old-fashioned design, although it also had lots of models in old formats that I couldn't successfully convert to STL. But it's gone offline and the Wayback Machine didn't archive it. There are some lists of other research 3D model databases, but I haven't found any similarly interesting or easy to browse ones there yet (I've only checked a handful so far though). https://github.com/zshn25/compilation-of-3d-mesh-model-resource http://web.archive.org/web/20191219200608/http://visionair.ge.imati.cnr.it/ontologies/shapes/link.jsp Personally I'm really looking for simple objects that are easy to print rather than artistic things. Things like basic flowerpot shapes, for example. I'd usually find them easilly on GAMMA over a decade ago, but then I'd never manage to get the download to work or to convert the file to STL. Still, I love a plain HTML website, so I'm really looking for a site like that from the early 2000s that someone forgot to turn off. -- __ __ #_ < |\| |< _#
