Yes, I know about that back then, but this aint 1999, its 2015, what 
applied then, doesnt now and with fukbuntu and fedora its just getting 
worse, however slackware is not in the same category as them, its more 
inline with RHEL, SEL, and debian -all of whom have versions way lower 
than ours. Even opensuse's version is lower and they dont show any signs 
of suffering - though have always tended to be more widely used in Europe 
than elsewhere.
