Considering 14.1 came out in early November of 2013, yes, a major release 
seems to be overdue.  On the other hand, maybe things have slowed down 
upstream enough that the time between major releases will increase.

Of course, if he's not careful, we'll end up with having to make a jump at 
some point, when the other distributions have much bigger release numbers, 
making Slackware look like it's not been updated in a long time.
