Where on earth do you take that from? Charlie got to experience something
good for a while. When he loses it, his biggest beef, in both the story and
novel, is people feeling sorry for him. He was a ground-dweller who got to
soar like an eagle for a while. Technology did something *good* for him, and
will probably do better next time.

If I could take a pill, only once, which would grant me 200 IQ for a year, 
then revert to normal, I'd take it.
