If you actually compare the same specifications, the Mac isn't really more expensive than a Windows PC. (The Mac is even less expensive if you include the cost, monetary and / or time, of trying to deal with all the idiotic malware!) 4. Technically a Windows PC can run many OSes as well, including Mac OS X, but it's against the legal agreement you "sign" to install it on non-Apple machines.
