There is no arm trophy. It surprises Beowulf to decapitate Grendel in one fell swoop during their very first fight. "What are the odds of that?" asks Beowulf. In the throes of sudden death Grendel's blood funnel reflexively remains on the face of humanity for a while. As Grendel's mom appears to unleash her full fury.
