Despite what hardened, blinkered "Greenies" like to fool themselves
into believing, most ways of mass producing electricity are inherently
"unclean" and environmentally damaging. That includes nuclear power
which has toxic waste products that sit around for thousands of years
and hydro schemes which block rivers and flood large areas of land.

Even many of the "clean" methods (if you ignore making the devices,
installing the wires, etc.) at the very least create a visual mess, for
example "wind farms" with lots of ugly massive fans or "solar farms"
with acres of ugly solar panels both cluttering the landscape.
