You are shifting the issue.
FYI birds even find back and use their own nest from the previous stay.

Fish seem to find locations too for putting their eggs,
same place they were born.

Once near the coast they will go there.

Sometiese one gets confused,
there recently was some whale in Germany that got up a river,
people tried to bring it back to the ocean to save it,
they managed to do that, but it died a bit later,
