As Retirednoguilt says, Revo uses the software's own installer first -
if nothing else, I think it takes notice of where that uninstaller goes,
to note where to go when doing its own bit.

When you say "in the Programs list", do you mean what used to be called
"add/remove programs" or something like that, or just your Programs
option from the start menu? If the latter, you might have only had one
instance anyway, but somehow two shortcuts. I've had that sort of thing,
especially if I move my shortcuts around to tidy them, and then upgrade
something - it upgrades the one copy I have, but sometimes re-adds a
shortcut in the default position, leaving the one I'd moved.
