The movie captures that.

You have time to think about some of the thematic inconsistencies.

As for the notion of attention span, if you really had
a limited attention span and you worked for a living,
chances are evolution would weed you out if you weren't
paying attention. Imagine for example, you're a linesman
for the power company. If you really had a problem
paying attention, you'd be blown right off your ladder :-)
Problem solved.

As for degraded problem solving ability, yes, that's
going to be more and more of a problem in future.
And that's been evident for the last 15-20 years.
It's showing up right now, in our ability to
(re)design road surfaces in town here. And no, an AI
won't be able to figure it out, because none of it
makes sense :-) I can tell the construction workers
are enjoying themselves, as all they have to do is
follow the blueprints and make incomprehensible things.
They don't have to worry about whether it all works or not.
