And yes, it's battery failed, but it could be easily replaced (from the outside). But it can't be upgraded to Windows 11, so probably only a few weeks or months to go. N.B. My Windows 8.1 laptop lasted about 8 years (all the time with Windows 8.1). Then a hardware failure (display) caused me to buy a new one (with Windows 11).
