no it isn't, therefore that argument is not compelling.

highly unlikely, to the point where it can be safely ruled out.

the mac pro is far too recent to have an update so soon and it's also
intended for a niche audience, making it unsuitable to be first.

the macbook pro is a likely possibility, especially since the 2-port
13" model was not updated this past spring.

the imac pro is another possibility since it was not updated this past
week.

another possibility is a return of the retina macbook 12", which
screamed apple silicon from the start.

it's also possible it could be something entirely new, given that apple
has stated that apple silicon will allow them to make products that
were not previously possible.
