I'm using a MacBook Air and O.S.15.3.1 and I like to use Dictation when typing texts or emails. But the key to start dictation, F5 doesn't work and none of the suggested shortcuts will work. The only way I can get dictation to work is by using the "Start dictation" command from the Edit drop down box. But this presents problems when attempting to use it with Usenet as the drop down Edit box doesn't present a Start Dictation command. Can anyone suggest a work round for this? I fiddled around with the system for half an hour, and then to my intense surprise I found that I must've made some change in System Settings because now pressing control twice brings up dictation perfectly. Glad you’re sorted :) In iOS and iPadOS it’s usually setup by default in Settings and you just have to toggle the microphone icon to turn dictation on/off. -- Cheers, Alan
