Phys.org still just as stoopid and ignorant and full of lies as always.
No wonder a idiot asshat like you loves them.
For those who understand science: The widely repeated 355 "mass
shootings" figure above needs to be defined. What they count as a "mass
shooting" is an incident where four or more people were INJURED or
killed. It is NOT 355 Sandyhook school shootings. It's 355 where 4
people got some kind of injury. That counts many crime shootings, a LOT
of gang shoot-outs and other (yawn) things we know and love about
minority America and even firearm accidents where nobody was even shot,
just sprayed with some cement chips! ALL are termed "mass shootings"!
Pure lies. Pure sensationalism. Lies and mouse painting have no place in
science. Sam has never learned that. If only we could drum him out of
science for good! He deserves that shame.

America has got its head in the sand about its 2nd Amendment to the Constitution. Nothing in about the 2nd Amendment prevents governments from passing common-sense gun laws, governments are paralysed by special interests from doing so. Yousuf Khan

Simple. You use a gun in a crime and we remove you from our society. But no... Liberals want to take away the guns from people who would NEVER commit a crime, never mind a gun crime. Idiocy at it's highest level. We had everything we needed to take the Cali shooters down before it started. Liberal politically correct government policy prevented us from taking action. HVAC is the PERFECT example why we need to give Our President the
authority he is asking for to create a secret "no guns" list just like
the "no fly" list! Give him the authority to put anyone he deems a
danger on it and never let them off! HVAC should be the first name.

If your wish if fulfilled, then the only people who will have guns are the same people you are trying to prevent having guns. Chicago is an example. Only crooks and gangs have guns; regular people have no protection. /BAH

And here I am talking about shootings that are not international terrorism. The problem is that U.S. society has become too constrained and too much of a peer-pressure society. It had begun when the school shootings (by students) began. Anyone can become a goat over anything. Creativity, bravo, independent developer or inventor, editorial or stand on issue, and so on. A militaristic attitude of U.S. society is something else and new. It's scary and shocking but this group of people have broken away from too much constraint. And basically it's just an attitude that is displayed .

The problem is that U.S. society has become too constrained and too much of a peer-pressure society. It had begun when the school shootings (by students) began. Note that schools are gun-free zones so nobody can defend themselves if someone is killing people in those schools. >Anyone can become a goat over anything. It's scary and shocking but this group of people have broken away from too much constraint. And basically it's just an attitude that is displayed What militaristic attitude? I don't see any. The only people being trained are those who decide to get a job in the military; even cops are being forced to not shoot even when they should. /BAH

They suggest debate on issues as "traitors". Among themselves they talk about taking action. They suggest that the military is really in charge and not the legal system. It's just an attitude and a carry-over from war zones. But I wouldn't want to replace a subtle and insulting peer-pressure society with a towering and powerful fascist society. (Fascism just means that the military is in charge of the government.) Another example are the Trump supporters. Trump wants to deport the minimum wage workers and wants to register Muslims. Basically, Trump just knew that there was a segment of the population that could be grabbed. As for the police, I know of seminars of years ago that emphasized not making mistakes with police gun use. The current seminars emphasize the right to shoot by the police and the legal stands to take when the shooting is investigated.
