They are intellectually incapable of distinguishing between simplicity and parsimoony. These idiots think that since steam goes up when it boils that therefore storms are caused by steam. The dumbest of the dumb dictate many of sciences generally accepted conclusions.

john <johnsefton288@gmail.com> writes: > MM >" >My God. How completely, totally wrong! " >What have you made? >Got picture? You just don't get it, do you? The purpose of science isn't to be "beautiful" but to be able to model how nature works. In many cases, so that we can take advantage of being able to model it to create technology using the models. You didn't even have a model before starting to create your cartoon, so you had to restart your guesswork a few times, and even now you select for "beautiful" rather than "working". Thus, "totally wrong!" I develop software for a living, software you'll rarely encounter directly. "Picture" isn't exactly relevant, but of you insist, go find a source listing of computer software.

But beautiful? It's computer software. It's functional, not a thing of beauty. However, code can be made ugly (on purpose or not). See http://www.ioccc.org/

MM Roe used to say computer software management was like herding cats- everyone has their own way. Surely, simple and elegant is preferable to others. Why are you and Odd arguing against there being better and worse looking results from different approaches? You guys are silly.

And the closest thing I find to "beauty" would be to incorporate a cool unusual algorithm, especially one that's much better than the usual method. Why are you and Odd >arguing against there being better and worse looking results from >different approaches? The "different approaches" have to make sense regarding science. It has to be close to the scientific method (look that up in detail). Do you think the "different approaches" of "science by proclamation, because I said so" as practiced by McGinn and Archie Plutonium is valid science? Physics by proclamation is certainly simple! Similarly, "it's all retarded spinny things because I like retarded spinny things" isn't a valid "different approach" to science just because it's simple (we disagree on "elegant") Science isn't about what looks pretty or elegant. Science is trying to figure out what actually works. >You guys are silly. >

So, Jim, you apparently admit that you do NOT have reproducible experiments to support your conjectures. Of course, this has been quite obvious right from the start. No experiments, no observations, and no support from a single professional anywhere in the entire world. Delusional much?

Don't give me that crap about freakin' steam tables, that is just inane... So, let me get this straight. You are saying that since you and many others can imagine it does exist that that is good enough? That is all you need to ignore the steam tables that clear delineate the boiling temperature of H2O? You know, a lot of people believe in ghosts. And there is a huge amount of anecdotal evidence that indicates they do exists. Do you believe in ghosts? If not explain why. Maybe you should leave science to scientists.
