Like BJ, John makes insane claims and when questioned, it's either attack the questioner or change the topic to something even more crazy. I still say John should put away his cartoon design program and take up fishing

HVAC "That's just his style of 'science'. Like BJ, John makes insane claims and when questioned, it's either attack the questioner or change the topic to something even more crazy. " Gee sounds like you, HVAC. So if I were to say "water can spin", would you buy that? It can be in a whirlpool? But the whole ocean doesn't, just some parts? Now- Space can spin- like water, it is a COLLECTION of structures, which can be spinning in one place, but not another. Understand, little HVAC?

john <johnsefton288@gmail.com> writes: >So if I were to say "water can spin", >would you buy that? >It can be in a whirlpool? >But the whole ocean doesn't, just some parts? Of course, the difference is, first, we know that spin is a property of matter in motion. Second, we can OBSERVE water spinning. We can observe the rotation rate, clockwise or counterclockwise, whether it spins as a unit or if the inner (or outer) parts spin faster and so forth. "Space spinning"? Not so much. No matter to move, and no observations of "space spinning". >Now- Space can spin- like water, it is a >COLLECTION of structures, which can >be spinning in one place, but not another. That's just crap you made up, with no observations to support it. Again.

MM " >Now- Space can spin- like water, it is a >COLLECTION of structures, which can >be spinning in one place, but not another. That's just crap you made up, with no observations to support it. Again. " Explain how Space can "warp", but not spin or flow.

john <johnsefton288@gmail.com> writes: >Explain how Space can "warp", "Warped" spacetime is just a shorthand way of saying that a geodesic (a line through spacetime that is straight that matter, light move along) is not straight in 3D space in the presence of matter. The object curves in 3D space, and that is gravity. > but not spin or flow. That simply doesn't make any sense since there is nothing (no matter) to spin or flow. Both are properties of motion of matter.

HVAC Perhaps you can explain how Space can "warp", but not flow, or spin? Is it a solid? Please, HVAC, from your drug-addled, chemo-balded, pate- what's ur answer?

MM What is meaningless is thinking of anything as "nothing". Space is not a void. How can it be? Especially since it's expanding!!! Don't you think? So it must be made of "different stuff". Get a small boy to explain how something can be there, but invisible. So Space is everywhere where Matter isn't, but made of invisible stuff- which can be spinning- and it IS spinning in the case of black holes. You're welcome. I'm glad you understand, now.

You found a 6 year old who didn't run away! And he explained the concept of "invisible heavy stuff" to you! So now you should have no problem with understanding dark matter!! Awesome!! One stupid idea down, about a dozen to go. Maybe we'll get you thinking normally yet!
