Archie-Poo does not in fact know that he has failed in physics. There 
are certain things the mind of people like him will not acknowledge. 
This is why people block out memories or hold true two contradictory 
statements at the same time, if they have suffered a trauma. Truths do 
not penetrate because they are not allowed to.

What Archie-Poo honestly believes is that he is not only capable in 
physics, but extraordinary.

Where his mind has to work harder is to explain to himself why his 
contributions have always gone without any regard, let alone high 
regard. Because it would be his expectation that his revolutionary 
thoughts by all rights should have given him some fame and creature 
comforts, neither of which he has. This is where his mind does the 
strange inventions of Persecution by the Inept, of Jealous Protection of 
Status Quo, and the Natural Isolation of Genius.

When someone is schizophrenic, the voices do seem real to them, and 
their delusions seem to be supported by real facts. It is very difficult 
to convince someone who lives in such a carefully cultivated construct 
that none of it is real.

Normal people that fail physics, find something else in life to do that makes them happy and productive and useful to society.

But crazed people who fail physics just cannot get in stride with life, and hang out in physics yet they do not belong. none of the above belongs in physics. They failed physics and the more they hang out here, the more we see what morons they are.

So, failures:: does that mean Maxwell's 4 equations are really 8 with forces for one and motion for another.

How about path a particle takes, is that another set of 4 equations.

The above physics failures are okay in a philosophy class where they can pass, but when these knuckleheads sit in physics, they end up morons.

Failures of physics should read sci.physics, but not post.

I think Archie is a classic example of psychological projection.  That
is when someone who has some uncomfortable issue/thought subconsciously
deals with it by attributing the issue to others.  For example, a person
who is uncomfortable about their looks/weight may go around saying "Look
at him/her! S/he is so fat/ugly!"  Another example is a person who starts
to have homosexual thoughts/feelings but believes homosexuality is wrong
(so is uncomfortable with the thoughts) may become a real homophobe.  A 
person who dislikes another may believe the other person hates them.

And he also knows, subconsciously, that he hasn't accomplished anything.
That's the believing both sides of conflicting thoughts you mentioned.
He subconsciously is uncomfortable with having failed at physics, so
he attacks everyone who disagrees with him, accusing them at failing at
physics.  Projection.

Interesting. It seems Archie Pu has a bad case of psychiatric projection,
and since he accuses everyone who disagrees with him as being failures at
physics, Archie subconsciously must know he has failed at physics.  Now
that he has repeatedly "diagnosed" me with depression from half a
continent away, does that mean he is also projecting his own depression
onto me as well?

If so, is Archie's depression due to his failure at physics? Sad.
