john <johnsefton288@gmail.com> tarded: >Michael >The way you weed out "zero" as an answer >is- USE YOUR FRICKING BRAIN >you tard >GEEZ!!! Who is the tard here? Certainly not me! Once again you are trying to apply what is common sense applicable to macroscopic things to where it doesn't apply, quantum physics. There is a theory many scientists hold that the size of the electron is zero. So what do you do to see if that may be the case? You freaking MEASURE it! And that's what they did. They did measure it, and got an answer that it is extremely small, and zero falls within the error range. That means the diameter COULD be zero, and the theory is not disproved. That is science, John. That is how science works.

Odd Zero didn't even exist in Math until quite late (2BC?). It is your continued insistence on importing it into some cockamamie version of reality that you can neither picture nor model nor even explain without making up new meanings for words that is messing you up. I'm just trying to help you, Odd- I am not a professional. Perhaps you should consider that. I mean, wtf, Odd?

yes, but in hindsight it is a simple inductive pr00f, which could easily be made deductive. as for the Newtonian exemplar of infinitesimal rocks o'light, that was just a big mistake, because the rate of growth of the wavefront is in areal meters per second per second > Zero didn't even exist in Math until > quite late (2BC?). > It is your continued insistence on > importing it into some > cockamamie version of reality > that you can neither picture nor > model nor even explain without > making up new meanings for > words that is messing you up. > I'm just trying to help you, Odd- > I am not a professional. This doesn't mean that the square root of two had no connection to reality. Get it through your thick skull that human ideas have to evolve to catch up to reality, not the other way around. Ideas do not rule over reality. Reality corrects ideas. > It is your continued insistence on > importing it into some > cockamamie version of reality > that you can neither picture nor > model nor even explain without > making up new meanings for > words that is messing you up. New meanings for words is required by the fact that ideas have to catch up to reality. We discover things about reality that require new ideas (like point particles) and new words and new meanings for words (like spin and chromodynamics) because we DID NOT KNOW THESE THINGS about reality before. You want things to be stable so that no new ideas, no new words, no new meanings, no new ways of explaining or modeling things should be needed. Sorry, but it's not like that, and you have to suck it up and be a man and accept these little uncomfortable facts. > I'm just trying to help you, Odd- > I am not a professional. Never mind, Odd. I know you have no definition of spin. One of your problems is- YOU KEEP TRYING TO IMPORT ZERO into a description of reality. Reality IS, Odd. Not ISN'T. And zero dimensions doesn't do "spin" well. No matter what kind.

What you did not provide is ANY evidence of the clouds of vortices that John describes for his theory. That is because there is no such evidence. Accepting a theory without evidence is the ultimate act of faith. So keep on defending John. Have faith.

If you equate spacetime with nothing, then that's your mistake. Ah! PROGESS! I TOLD You you should DISCUSS these issues rather than just lazily name book titles! I never equated space time with nothing. Einstein never did either. He pointed out space-time has properties hence CANNOT be "nothing". We both use the term aether for space-time. You can use your term. The ones making the mistake are the writers of Halliday and Resnick (and so many others) who think that the "vacuum of space" is nothing. Clearly it is not.
