benj These guys: WHY, WHY, WHY can't mathematics directly translate into reality? WHY can't there be physical things with no dimensions, God? WHY can't there be waves travelling in NOTHING, God? Oh, WHY WHY WHY? Why can't there be NOTHING? Please, God? WHATS THE RULE? WHATS THE RULE? WHATS THE RULE? WHATS THE RULE? WHATS THE RULE? WHATS THE RULE? WHATS THE RULE? WHATS THE RULE? The rule is there's no such thing as Nothing because nothing is Nothing.

For that matter, you can't even get within one step of " nothing", as is proven by: there is no such thing as Smallest because Smaller is smaller. That's all for now, class

Odd The law of zero only applies in mathematics. You cannot import zero into the Cosmos because the Cosmos is All. Suggesting that there is a place of Zero in the Cosmos is a Denial of Being, which is blasphemy. Do you Be, Odd?

Spacetime is not Nothing. It is Something. It has physical properties. If you look at it and say, "I dub thee Nothing", it does not make it nothing. If you look at it and say "You are Nothing, and Nothing cannot exist in a Universe of Being, and therefore THOU ART BANISHED," then you are being even more foolish. A point particle is not Nothing. It makes no difference whatsoever that you stand on a hill and declare "Thou hast no volume and therefore you are Nothing, and therefore THOU ART BANISHED." Odd said " If you look at it and say, "I dub thee Nothing", it does not make it nothing. If you look at it and say "You are Nothing, and Nothing cannot " Odd, in the real world, where it says to put your height in the space provided, zero is not an option. Same for particles. Get over it.

Doing so just makes you an arrogant idiot. And you think insisting that something that has no volume or dimensions actually exists and has properties makes you a logical genius? I take it you are not a native speaker of English and do not understand that words actually have meanings. You must be a liberal. It's just amazing that you can think that waves can exist in nothing at all and that things with no volume or dimensions are real and then try to call everyone else arrogant idiots! You obviously are wearing no clothes. Hint: Math fantasy is not more real than reality.

In this case it is experiment which shows electrons exist, but to the extent that we can measure, they behave as POINT (dimensionless) particles. You think electrons have a size. Prove it. This is science nonsense. There is no such thing as a "point" or "infinity" in science. So an electron cannot be a point and dimensionless objects can't be said to exist. If you think the cross-section of an electron is VERY small that is one thing. To call it a "point" is just a misapplication of terminology. > You think electrons have a size. Prove it. Measure it. Been done by others. So you find the Thompson cross-section of an electron is very small. Very small does not equal zero and certainly does not prove it's a point. You and odd are confusing math fantasy with reality. Point-like particles are not "points" to say they are is ignorant. >> Hint: Math fantasy is not more real than reality. > > Odd and I are not confusing Math with reality. You are. I just proved otherwise. (You better turn this debate over to Odd. He's much better at twisting the meaning of words than you)

Very small and consistent with zero. Meaning zero falls within the error bars and the Thompson cross-section does not prove there is a nonzero finite size.
