Well, thanks at least for outing yourself as an anti-Semite.

I think I was spending energy advising you of the work of people like
James Maxwell and Michael Faraday, who were Scot and English,
respectively. Both made tremendous strides understanding fields, which
do not have a particular location in space and time.

It may also interest you that Einstein generally did not believe or work
on the modern understanding of quantum fields, which states that
EVERYTHING in nature is made of fields and their interaction, completely
overturning your rather antiquated view that the world consists of
particles, their properties, and their interactions. People who have
pushed that idea forward have included John Bardeen, Abdus Salam, JD
Bjorken, Werner Heisenberg, Erwin Schrodinger, John Wheeler, Sid Drell,
Niels Bohr, none of whom are Jews.

First off, I am not anti-semite. I love Jews and everyone else. I just think that using Einstein for political reasons is a mistake. Put your faith in your God. He helped you in the past. He was angry with you people for a while because of your lack of faith. But now his anger has passed and he's back helping you again. This is why Israel is an oasis of stability while all of her enemies are in violent turmoil. Yahweh has made Jerusalem a heavy stone and all the nations of the world who try to lift it will get a hernia. It's in your scriptures.

Second, where are fields (whatever they are) if not in space? In both classical and quantum physics space is the underlying substrate in which everything exists. This leads to an infinite regress. This is why space does not exist.

You have misjudged. I am not a Jew.

Secondly, Einstein wasn't much "used for political reasons" as far as I
can tell.

Third, I notice that you seemed to gloss over all the other physicists
who have been MORE INSTRUMENTAL THAN EINSTEIN in promoting the modern
physics. So why your incessant and misplaced focus on Einstein?

>
> Second, where are fields (whatever they are) if not in space?

You'll note that being "in space" is a little different than saying "at
a particular location in space".

Oddly enough, this comment about space being the "underlying substrate"
is not completely true!

You might actually enjoy learning what fields are and the role that
space is thought to play in modern physics. Do you need a reading
recommendation.

Hate to break reality to you, John. There's a reason why books are used
to teach and learn, and there's a reason expertise in any field
(including mine!) involves a lot more than a simple explanation.

Tough shit. Stop being a baby about it.

Your terror of books does not mean that books are an evil in the world
that should be dispensable.

Not everything in science or math is simple. That's just the way the world
is. Nonlinear differential equations. Or a closed solution to the three
body problem (oh that's right, you believe in kook gravity so never mind
that one) Or take the quadratic equation, for Ax^2+Bx+C=0, solve for x.
That has a relatively simple solution. But what about Ax^3+Bx^2+Cx+D=0,
solve for x. Not so simple for a relatively simple problem. Maybe solve
Ax^4+Bx^3+Cx^2+Dx+E=0?

Yes. But, if there is a simpler answer
found, was that not a good thing?
Will you still believe in DM if it
is shown that gravity is not
matter "sucking", but matter absorbing?

Simpler but wrong is not a good thing. Invisible pink fairies pushing the
planets around is a very simple theory of gravity. It's not a good
theory, however.

"Finding a simpler answer" presumes it to
be "more right" or at least "as right"
as the other. In math, at least.

Invisible DM, "somehow" positioned (how?)
to accentuate the acceleration of the
matter coming around without decelerating
the matter going around is
a good example of fudge that doesn't
even make sense. And the matter
doesn't attract IT? What? Is the DM
stapled to its position in Space?
And what would that position be, and why?
You believe in DM?
Wow!

So, now you are saying the invisible pink fairy gravity theory is the best
one? Because it is so simple?

You really are having a tough time trying to find a 5 year old to explain
it to you, aren't you.

Michael
You go ahead and believe in
invisible matter that attracts but
doesn't get attracted.
Fine with me

Who said it doesn't get attracted? We just know it has mass but does not
interact electromagnetically (invisible as you put it).

Funny you have a problem with "invisible". Ever hear of air?

Where did you ever get the idea that dark matter is not attracted?

Odd

"Where did you ever get the idea that dark matter is not attracted? "
If it WERE attracted, then how
would it speed up the star rotation? It
would glom to the stars, and slow them down.

Computer models haven't been able
to reproduce this silly idea- how is it
still out there?

No, John. Increased matter in the region of the galaxy INCREASES speed
of rotation, not slow it down. I don't know why you think it should slow
it down.
