It doesn't explain any chemical properties of benzene. That's what's wrong.

Sure it does, Odd.
It is indistinguishable, one side from another,
which is why it doesn't matter where
you attach other atoms- making it a
good carrier.
THAT IS WHY I have shown it from
four views, showing that any arbitrary
FRONT and BACK are identical.

I have done this alon two lines of
view.

I am contemplating doing the same along
572 views by turning the whole ring over
slowly once as it goes
FOUR TIMES
through the two
cycles that it needs to trade all 30 electrons,
(which requires 72 frames). (72 X 4 X 2).

And I will color ONE electron differently
so you can see which side you're looking
from. And, in each case, as these
twelve atoms are all exchanging their
pairs and singles, the opposite
viewpoints shown ( top and bottom right
and top and bottom left)
WILL REMAIN IDENTICAL
through 288 frames (two lines of
view per frame).

This will take abou 10 minutes per frame,
or 48 hours.
Of my life.
As I look out at the lake ice going away.
Hey, Harlow, want to see a picture
of a 16 pound Walleye they just caught
out front here?

John, I've fished for close to 100 species of fish in my life. Biggest one I've ever reeled in personally is a 710 pound bluefin tuna.

And btw NO time fishing is wasted.

I'd bet that if I didn't go fishing so much I'd wind up as crazy as you or BJ.

Well, HVAC, those are bass, too.
Canadian white.
Have to wear head coverings to stay
warm. A beard too, helps.
But gotta be careful these days.

I will take my Benzene ring,
and as it goes through four complete
cycles of 72 frames each,
I will rotate it 1.25 degrees more around the
axis of my choice each frame.
It will complete a trade of all 30 of its
trading electrons every 90 degrees
until it comes full circle

Crazy, hey HVAC?

There are no fish. All fantasy.

I'm sorry, John, but I wasn't talking about symmetry. I was talking
about chemical properties.

If that's how you wish to waste your life, that's fine with me.

I would suggest reading a couple good science books instead so that
you can understand things.

Or, since you apparently hate science, perhaps you should drop your
lame attempts at science and take up poetry instead. Or painting.
Paint your pretty lake.

I have suggested one by Isaac Asimov that is essentially all words and
pictures, with a bare minimum of arithmetic. It is a very fast read and
is available for only $12 from Amazon.

I think what we will discover is that John prefers to spend his time
either with AutoCAD or on sci.physics, making posts about herpes and
UFOs and government conspiracies and how useless and lost physics is,
rather than actually learning anything about physics.

It would be like his hanging around my shop all day, ostensibly to learn
something about woodworking, and instead talking about politics,
religion, and how useless being a woodworker is. And he wouldn't ever
take the hint that such behavior is really inappropriate in a
woodworker's shop.
