Reason?  I love reason! I love the scientific method, which is an awesome
application of reason and logic.  From a theory, come up with a test which
produces different outcomes if the theory is true or if the theory is

The nice thing about experimental results is that nature doesn't change 
its laws from day to day. Which means that the experiment I suggested to

John, no it wasn't. Please read up on it.

When you have a theory that says, "Given these inputs and conditions, 
you should expect to see the following behaviors", and there is a 
mismatch between the observed behaviors and the prediction, then there

1. The inputs and conditions are well known, and the theory is wrong.
2. The theory is right, and the inputs and conditions are not well known.

This isn't just true of relativity. It was true for Newtonian mechanics,

Yes, it's a "kindergarten level" explanation, dumbed down to the point of
being nearly retarded.  I had to dumb down the discussion of "dark matter"  
to your level, so that perhaps you could understand it.  Otherwise you
think it's something super-exotic and thus impossible.

Do I have to dumb it down even more for you?  Perhaps "invisible" has too
many syllables for you?

BTW, we already know of one form of dark matter.  They're called 
"neutrinos".  They don't interact electromagnetically at all so they
are very invisible.  They're very lightweight but there is a shitload of
them so they're a little bit "heavy stuff".[1]  But for several reasons,
particularly because they like to move at nearly c rather than hang
around in clumps, they cannot explain the dark matter we see in galactic
rotation curves.

that exists as neutrinos)
