So your problem isn't that the theories are wrong (you don't have any 
experimental evidence that says they're wrong), you just think they're 
doing the wrong things. You want physicists to become applied, not 
fundamental researchers. You want them to care less about how the 
universe works and to pay attention to building useful things. You want 
physicists to stop being interested in quarks and more interested in 
solar power, less interested in black holes and more interested in 
curing disease, less interested in the origin of the universe and more 
interested in recycling.

So here's the thing. Just because these are the most important things TO 
YOU does not mean that everyone on the planet should be working to solve 
THOSE PARTICULAR PROBLEMS, John. There is still the need for musicians 
and farmers and lawyers and housepainters and cab drivers, and their 
objectives might not all line up with saving the world.

Furthermore, John -- and this gets to YOU personally -- YOU aren't even 
interested in focusing on saving the world. What the FUCK does a galaxy 
model for the atom do for getting rid of floating garbage in the 
Pacific. What the FUCK does your banging on LeSage gravity do for 
solving dependence on fossil fuels? What the HOLY FUCK does your love 
for fractals, fractals everywhere do for curing cancer?

So, you intellectually dishonest twat, before you condemn physicists for 
trying to learn how the universe works rather than averting world 
crises, why don't you do the same yourself first?
