Odd Who has seen an "event horizon "? What is it? Maybe it's where the spin is so fast that OUR scale matter- which is being carried along like flotsam in a whirlpool of matter at the next scale down (DM)- gets accelerating so fast that it shreds! Michael, Odd- there are TWO materials, here, the DM whirlpool and the star-arm. The star arm will be influenced by the DM flow, but just like in any whirlpool, the heavier stuff will go more slowly. The star arm will bend but not break.

It's not a point where matter gets shredded or can't survive. When you're in a kayak and you pass the point of no return on the river upstream of the falls, you don't suddenly find your kayak disintegrating or getting shredded up. It's not like you can look at that point of no return an upstream of it, all the floating stuff is in one piece and downstream of it, everything's broken up. That's NOT WHAT HAPPENS and that's not what happens at an event horizon. When you pass the point of no return on the river, you just quietly pass it with no visible sign. So get this silly notion you have of what an event horizon is out of your head. It's all wrong, and you just have to scrub it from your mind. Oh Odd- stow it Let's look at BHs as TWO things- a WHIRLPOOL of DM which is turning really fast at the centre and progressively slower at the edge and an arm of stars immersed in that whirlpool that has self-attraction: could that combination explain rotation curves? The star-arm is more and more curved closer and closer to the centre by the increased speed ---------- Gotta love kooks.... "Well, you blew up THAT idea of mine, so how about THIS?". This is the 'lets run it up the flagpole and see who salutes' approach to sience.
