But I'm curious why you think the same mechanism is at work between galactic arms and fermions with the same quantum numbers. After all, doesn't it make more sense that the same mechanism is at work holding the earth apart from the sun and the arms of the galaxy apart from the galactic center and the rings of Saturn away from Saturn? -- Odd Bodkin --- maker of fine toys, tools, tables

HVAC, you water boarding retard, it was in an elliptical Galaxy that they saw the jets involved in new star production. You have the observation powers of a gnat

They repel each other. You say they don't repel? You say I have no predictions? That is going to be tested very soon. Prediction- they will be found to repel. Older prediction: galactic jets are part of a cycle that breeds new stars. Verified.

You'll notice that there is stuff in the MIDDLE connecting the two arms. So that stuff in the MIDDLE is touching both arms. So if the stuff in the MIDDLE is matter, then it's going to annihilate with the antimatter arm where the MIDDLE and that arm touch. If the stuff in the MIDDLE is anti-matter, then it's going to annihilate with the matter arm where the MIDDLE and that arm touch. So what say you, John? Where's the 1.022 MeV radiation? > You say they don't repel? > You say I have no predictions? > That is going to be tested very soon. > Prediction- they will be found to repel. And how do you propose to determine that they repel? (Please notice the sun and the earth do not fall into each other. Here, Odd: "As for testing the possibility of antigravity between matter and antimatter, the upcoming AEGIS experiment at CERN could provide some answers. The experiment will compare how the Earth's gravity affects hydrogen and antihydrogen atoms, and could give scientists a better understanding of antimatter's gravitational properties."

Here, Odd Read up on this guy: "But in the new study, Massimo Villata, an astrophysicist at the Observatory of Turin in Italy, suggests the effects attributed to dark energy are actually due to a kind of "antigravity" created when normal matter and antimatter repel one another."

Of course, if the AEGIS experiment comes out otherwise (antimatter attracts matter), then this supposition is immediately trashed.
