If you cannot sink much heat then you won't be burning many calories at a very high rate for very long. The system will literally overheat internally and you'll croak. The easy way to improve efficiency passing through fluids is to have high temperature time trials, i.e., 35 C pool water, and then studying style of the winner at high temps. This way those who are competitive at normal temperatures by relying on brute power could be retrained to go even faster. Bret Cahill
