It is ready, but just in sense that it seems it blows repeatedly is active below the crust and now is about the time. But "about the time" is broad interval of several tens/hundreds thousands years. There are two extreme approaches to catastrophic topics. One says such a thing can/will never happen. The other says it is coming very soon for sure.
