The jimp says it is all smoke and mirrors. If the jimp would have
been paying attention, he might have noticed that his thermometer
reads higher than it did thirty years ago.

I pay close attention to most things and one thing I have noticed is
that although some years are very hot and some years are very cold it
makes no difference in the long run.

I also noticed that the record highes for my area all occured before
1985, so my thermometer reads lower than it did 30 years ago.

Another thing I have noticed is that you concider yourself so special
that you are exempt from copyright provisions.

That's gotta be nice for your air conditioning costs. Good for you.

If that were the case, jimp being a logical guy, he would doubtlessly conclude it was time to get a new thermometer!

All my thermometers told me December was cold; this was reinforced when
the gas bill for December arrived, which has historial usage, and showed
2015 used a LOT more heating than 2014.

It's not just about you, jimp, and your local thermometer.

Earth's Energy Imbalance
The earth is absorbing more energy from the sun than it's giving
up due to increasing greenhouse gas concentrations. The excess
energy that the planet is absorbing is enormous. The total energy
   imbalance now is 0.58 ± 0.15 W/m^2.

Everyone else around here had the same experience.

I have never heard anyone anywhere complaining that it is a fraction
of a degree warmer than it was 30 years ago.

An obvious lie.

1. You have been quoting the same number for years; no natural process
maintains the exact same number for years.

2. If the planet was absorbing this constant energy rate for years as
you have been claiming, the planet would have been constantly getting
hotter and it hasn't been.

3. Your imbalance numbers fail to account for the fact that photosynthesis
converts light energy into chemical energy. If there were not some
imbalance, the planet would be a lifeless rock.

That was back before greens like Wormley killed all the nuclear power
stations.

Of course I've got propane, and I just checked the spot price for
propane at 33 cents a gallon (was 4 dollars last year) however, a check
of the chart of retail prices shows it at about $2. Capitalism works.
When wholesale prices rise, retail prices rise. When wholesale prices
fall, retail prices don't.

If a dealer fills his tanks on Monday at $4/gal and the price falls
to $2/gal on Tuesday, don't expect the retail price to drop until after
the next tank refill.

Number 65, defense, ad hominem argument, five yard penalty. Ball will be
moved to NOAA's 45-yard line. Automatic first down.

Number 65, defense, personal foul. Game misconduct. Get off the field.
The Denialists will have to select a replacement player to bring in off
the bench. The Denialists also lose one of their remaining time-outs.

We don't tolerate that kind of aggressive and abusive behavior here in
sci.physics, and your evident misogyny is a serious aggravating factor
in your case. Go back to your kook newsgroup -- that IS your home group,
I'm guessing -- and think about your sins.

Followups have been set to exclude sci.physics. We don't want to hear
your inevitable outpouring of whining and poor sportsmanship in response
to this ruling.

Oh, dear... that NEVER works.

You're right about Sir Gaygory, though. He's a self-admitted homosexual
"bottom," he's also a rabid misogynist, and thinks vaginas are
"disgusting". Oh, and about that homosexual part... he quite adamantly
insists that getting buggered by another man doesn't make him gay... it
makes the guy with the bat gay. Seriously! He's actually quite
amusing... for awhile.

You are in denial because you are the guy with the bat, homoboi!

Here's a clue, Jeff. I've lived aboard my fine
yacht for more than 20 years. I have been coming
and going from an anchorage in the Keys I call
my home base.

Do you know what a benchmark is? It's a surveyor's
aid. Well there is a bronze benchmark on a storm
water outfall pipe concrete support/bed at sea level.

If the globe is getting hotter and the sea level is
rising like the kooks claim, how come that old
benchmark that was put in back in the 1940's is
still at sea level. How come it's not been covered
by a foot or two of sea water?

What you lubbers fail to understand because you
live closeted in your hovel cubes is that using
the eyes to observe actual physical reality trumps
some wild and bogus, fake scientific claims each
and every time.
