I see you are stuck in 19th century determinism. That's a shame, because
it is now common knowledge that there are non-deterministic processes in
nature.

You are, of course, free to deny this, if your religion demands it.

You're equating yourself with Einstein? I said "Jeff", not what you post-
edited.

Incidentally, Einstein used to say "God does not play dice with the
universe" -- then had to admit that the Copenhagen interpretation was
more accurate than he was comfortable with.

Your ignorance depends on how impervious you are
( "willfull" or not ) to the truth.

> You are, of course, free to deny this, if your religion demands it.

Everyone avoids the truth, to some extent;
we assert _useful_ premises, irregardless of the truth;
hence ego, online gaming and religion.

All of history, every lesson ever, every advance, tells _me_:

  Randomness is ignorance, nothing more;
  otherwise, there'd be NO TRUTH, nothing for _me_ to aspire to.

You, on the other hand, aspire to something else.

Kids are the domain of the poor, uneducated and unfortunate.
Replace the word "love" with "30 year mortgage" and everything becomes clear.

If so, it's because you haven't read what he wrote,

Einstein spent decades arguing _against_ the Copenhagen bullshit.
He subscribed to "The Ensemble Interpretation" which says, basically,
that Quantum Mechanics is merely statistical, not complete
( " correlation does not imply causation " ).

I don't share your obsession with the 19th century.
GrecoRoman Diodorus Cronus, circa 300 BCE,

I'm forever correcting people like you, who put words in Einstein's mouth;

If you'd pull your head out of your posterior for a second, you'd realize
that Einstein's verified quote (supplied below) supports his trepidation
about the Copenhagen interpretation

"Jedenfalls bin ich überzeugt, daß der nicht würfelt."

1926, letter to Max Born.

https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/God_does_not_play_dice_with_the_universe

"Einstein himself used variants of this quote at other times. For
example, in a 1943 conversation with William Hermanns recorded in
Hermanns' book Einstein and the Poet, Einstein said: "As I have said so
many times, God doesn't play dice with the world." (p. 58)"

Apologize or not -- makes no difference, except to show what kind of
person you are.

Indeed, one even say that the courage to apologize involves bucking the
"leastbad" option that you claim is how we work. Can you do it?

I know Einstein.
Like most people, you do not; but that's OK.

Einstein's "God/Religion" was Mother Nature.
"God" is nature, nothing more, nothing less.
And nature is _not_ a person; Einstein made this abundently clear.

Yes, you're right, this time.
God Doesn't Play Dice, he's not an idiot; nor is he a "he".

Before, you said he " had to admit that the Copenhagen interpretation

He _never_ did that, far from it ( see above ).

_You_ made the mistake; _you_ don't know Einsein; I do.

I don't want an apology from you,
because I know you simply don't care about this topic,
not like I do.

I'd thought Einstein eventually had to admit he was wrong. I guess if he
didn't, that's at least twice he was wrong in a big way.

Anyway, I'll accept your characterization of Einstein's thought on this
-- but I was still correct about the quote, and you should have known it
was correct, too.

"Fair enough."

He was not wrong, far from it, but you don't need to know that,
because you're not into PURE science, not like he was.
Most scientists aren't into PURE science, like the was.

Mark Twain was a determinist.
In "The Grand Design", 2010, Stephen Hawking said:

  it seems that we are no more than biological machines
  and that free will is just an illusion.

I never objected to the "God doesn't play dice" thing.
I objected to your " [Einstien] had to admit that
    the Copenhagen interpretation was MORE ACCURATE
    than he was comfortable with " notion.

Well Shit! Mark TWain Agrees that Rolf's theories or more exactly his
religion is absolutely correct! That sure seems to settle it! About the
only thing remaining for this to be "settled science" is a democratic
vote of all scientists agreeing with Rolf. Worked for global warming and
can work for Rolf!

Utter drool. Your "theory" assumed both locality and causality. It also
assumes that EPR is true which Bell showed can't be so because both of
the above are not allowed to both be true.

All of history, every lesson ever, every advance, tells _me_:

  Randomness is ignorance, nothing more;
  otherwise, there'd be NO TRUTH, nothing for _me_ to aspire to.

John Bell did _nothing_ to alter our opinion.
Quantum Mechanics is statistical, not complete;
correlation does not imply causation.

Well this is no surprise, Rolf. Living in your mom's basement isn't much
to aspire to.

Of course it's statistical. Everybody knows that. That's the whole point
of Bell which says that assumptions of relativity CANNOT be true if your
assumptions of mechanistic absolute causality are true. But then I'm
sure you "care" more than Einstein, too!

You don't have to be an Einstein ( and you sure aren't )
to realize that Quantum Mechanics isn't complete.

Bell's theorem is just another "I don't know".

All of history, every lesson ever, every advance, tells _me_:

   Randomness is ignorance, nothing more;
   otherwise, there'd be NO TRUTH, nothing for _me_ to aspire to.

So you have faith that there is no randomness. Cool. I share that
intuition, but I realize it is not something we can prove.

Do you?

No one can "prove" ThermoDynamics and/or General Relativity, 100.00000000%.

Nor can I prove that you're human, far from it.

Can you offer support for the idea of a LACK of randomness?

My ancient AIM bot was good, but not that good. :)

All of history, every lesson ever, every advance, tells _me_:

     Randomness is ignorance, nothing more;
     otherwise, there'd be NO TRUTH, nothing for _me_ to aspire to.

Again, we assert _useful_ premises ( and ThermoDynamics is _Very_ useful ),
irregardless of the truth.

Likewise, " Randomness is ignorance, nothing more "
is useful _if_ you're like Einstein and me, not The Pope.

Just keep preaching Rev. Say it enough an it becomes true science!
