Last few decades, I spent _nothing_ on doctors.
I've had _bad_ tooth and gum pain,
but a salt water rinse takes care of it.
......
When Win95 first came out, I was programming heavily,
all through the night, and I got sick,
so I took some cold medicine.
Also, I got very excited about buying a new mouse,
and the bus ride made me car sick.
After exiting the bus, into the cold and dark,
I ran up a steep hill and passed out; someone called 911.
Pleading poverty, I refuse to go to the emergency room,
so the paramedics gave me a blanket and released me, no charge.
......
After smoking a huge Cuban cigar, 2008,
I woke up the next morning super sick.
Worried, I walked to the emergency room; they found nothing.
It cost me nothing because my income was so low;
I had $25 left, after paying rent; nothing in the bank, no savings.

The first time I was in the hospital, they wrote off a $20K bill because I had nothing. The second time I was in the hospital, they turned a similar bill over to their collection agency. They called me for a while, but I just stopped taking their calls. What good is insurance? Double-A

He's nice because he knows how slow and expensive the court system is; one of my tenants owes 2 months rent, 1,600$. In Japan, you pay about 6 months rent up front, and, unless you're really special, you'll not get any of it back. In Seattle, we're not allowed to research one's criminal history, much less act on it. Often, when a "thievivg junkie" can't pay his rent, he calls the city inspector, as if that'd help him; the cost of appeasing inspectors exceeds taxes, some years. My only consolation is that their credit report is dinged.

People have a right to a good life and not be upset by greedy landlords demanding rent. Admit it Rolf.
