Take away 5,000 feet off of Mt.Baldy Smog would flow right over to Nevada. It might even help it rain. The fill could make a sea wall, and add land to LA.Its a win win win idea.Yes I am clever.Boston was built this way.TreBert

Vegas to Huntinton beach had no other state to pass through, but you drove up the coast to get to LA.That means its Utah. Still I know you got my drift.TreBert

Kind of like here in the Portland area. A ridge west of downtown is know by evrybody here as the "West Hills". But actually on the map they are called the Tualatin Mountains. But if you used that name here, nobody would know what you were talking about. Most people do know that the Tualatin Valley lies west of the "West Hills". But the highway going out there is always called the TV Highway. Not everybody knows it is really the Tualatin Valley Highway. Double-A

TreBert If you took the 57 all the way, you probably did not go to Mt Baldy. You have to transistion to either the 10 or the 210 unless you want to spend over an hour in surface street traffic just to get to one of the two roads that actually go up to the mountain. -- Jim Pennino
