Calculate the probability of any two four-dimensional objects colliding.
You all do know what a collision is? Good for you! Now... go calculate.
Assignment due by Friday, no class lasts forever. Chop chop! Run like the wind!
Besides, if you submit by Friday, I'll have something to do over the Weekend.
God knows the wife is a waste of time... but I digress... Vera? VERA?! Et tu?

I once had a life, or should I sing, life once had me... The BeatlesIsmIshQ.

two objects;

zero dimentions => already collided

one dimention => two points on a line, are they within collision range
need to know size of "objects", call it J
need to know length of line, call it K
then P is simply (J/K) => we covered the entire line by the number of
first objects, then because adding second object will overlap the first
object on the line.

two dimentions => devide space by area of object call it L
need to know area of object call it L
need to know the total area of the 2-D space, call it M
	P = L/M

etc.

4 dimentions,
need to know 4th dim space occupied by object, call it Q
need to know total space of 4th dimentional used, callit R
	P=R/Q

[no disperriaging remarks were used, only misted speltings]

Actually not. While the answer is obvious, the proof of it is quite complicated.

Yes, I have to agree with that. But SergioJi, the word is dimensions.

Be careful, and do lookup dimentia/Dementia. Again, sorry, not an English Class here.

That might work. The actual proof is really difficult and very neat.
Where are me m(y) 1990s class notes of Mathematical Physics?!
Hey... it's not like I walk around, singing, such questions by meself.

There are faces I remember... all my life... though some have changed...

That's a recurring strategy SergioJi, what's the answer/solution?

> [no disperriaging remarks were used, only misted speltings]

Think of it this way: Two four-dimensional objects walk into a bar...

Some questions are best left open Open OPEN... this one Q has an exact answer.

I still have the textbooks I took the classes with on the bookshelf,

I cannot visualize it.
I Could in 3D, all simple ratios.
If I assumed out of the blue "sizes" of things, but I admit, I dont know
what 'size' means in 4D, 10 quartic meters ?

I know that feeling, I was in a bar, doing Ouzo shots, and got 4th
dimentional alright, not sure how I got outta there, some kind of
"multidimentional transference one cannot remember", betcha.

Hillary and Comey are now both famous private citizens. TrumpET blows his own horn.

Actually, me too! I still have all my college textbooks. If any of me
m(y) great teachers/professors are still alive today, they'd be proud!
I think they'd be proud. Them Gurus never ever call me. Ever?! W T F...

I'm not set on the idea that it is a visualization problem, alone.
No CGI need apply. We're thinking here... Walk me m(y) way...

I love Ouzo (Anise in Greek, Sonf in Hindi) shots, though I mostly drink Vodka.

Found this paper;

"A Method for Calculating Probability of Collision between Space Objects"

http://www.raa-journal.org/raa/index.php/raa/article/viewFile/1587/1442

what is interesting is that they have a compact equation, for 3D, which
can be easily extended into 4 dimentions.

But they are able to generate equations using the constraints of stuff
orbiting earth, space junk. BUT even that can be backed out, perhaps
backing out leaves one with nada, the general case. And Im sure they
have sizes of the objects in there somewhere.

basically P = Pr * Pt [delta distance, and arrival time]

from the paper:
4 CONCLUSIONS
The existing general method for calculating the probability of collision
provides sufficiently accurate results, but is not based on a direct
connection between the probability of collision, the geometry of the
encounter and the related error covariance.

Based on the geometry of the encounter, a method is developed to compute
probability of collision. This method gives an explicit expression to
compute probability of collision which is expressed as a function of the
radial and the cross section components of the relative position and
error covariance.

The expression is compact and advantageous for directly analyzing the
factors that influence the probability of collision. A computer program
is developed to implement the technique, and the results of calculations
are compared with the general method, which show that this method is
applicable to most situations where assessing the risk of collision in a
near-circular orbit is required. Additionally, the method separates
orbit motions in the radial direction from those in the cross section.
Therefore, position errors and geometric sizes of the two components can
be handled differently to improve precision, especially for irregularly
shaped spacecrafts, such as shuttles with wings. Continuation of this
work is currently in progress.

Easily? Perhaps you are right SergioJi. I'm just not so confident.

I read this Thermodynamics book, in Russian, once. I couldn't understand a
word or sentence written in it. However, the equations made perfect sense!
Then I found this 1880s French book, it had/has wonderful 3D phase space objects.
Seriously, one opens the book and sees 3D objects from the drawings! Weird(y).

No, for the life of me, I now (2017) do not recall the titles/authors of the 2 books.

What means this related error covariance?

yup, dwi back in the old days 70's was temporary, went away, not much
happened to you. But today! here it is breath device in your car 1 year,
$2000 fine, the revoke your drivers license and give you a limited one,
another fine of 1000 at drivers license place, and it dosen't go away.

interesting 1880s book, did you need spcial glasses? I have some 3D
pictures, (two pix side by side) actually on glass, with a viewer has
two lenses from paris about 1890 - 1900, tourist souvineers

I was only charged with the DUI, not convicted, still the employer brought it up.
Within a week of being charged, the employer brought it up during my job interview.
Welcome to BigData! Did I mention that already?! Orwellian... it's now 2017, not 1984.

The bar I left before DUI, after sex(y) Bikini Contest, went out-of-business later.
Why out-of-business? Simple. All us regular patrons stopped visiting the bar.
There was a gang of cops outside the bar, which I sadly simply just did ignore.
I'm very certain those cops entrapped as many patrons as they could that night.
The bar's management could've just warned us patrons not to drive. SHUT DOWN.

Lying cops, lying women, lying lawyers, lying judges... I said that already...

Even in 70's it's no longer temporary. They've digitized all old files
and put them on their fancy Cloud Servers somewhere in India, China,
and/or... Russia. I used to work with a friend, who got a DUI in the
1980s. Then 25 years later, he gets a 2nd DUI. He said the judge
instantly brought up his DUI from 1980s! Now he always takes a taxi to
go out and hang with his friends at bars. Always. Safer Than Lawyers.

IMHO, it's a vast deep dark conspirac(y) by taxi drivers. Tax+I=TaxI?!

Fwiw, my friend is very white, whiter than an Indian Cow. He's managing.
So I can't claim this is a RacismInUSA problem, despite having to watch
that 32 year old black dude get shot dead for some broken tail light by
the lying-chicken-shit-now-fired-cop. I'm police! Bang^5! There's a family
in the damn car you-fucking-lying-idiot-cop! Courts' JurySpeak: NO HARM DONE.

Don't worry... we've rebranded U using the letters of Their English Alpabet (TEA).
This Usenet post will self-destruct on/via Google with 3 seconds. MI Theme Music.

I'm fairly certain there no special glasses involved. The 3D objects
just floated above the pages. Very cool. I'm pretty sure no glasses
were involved. I checked out the book and showed it to my professor.
The objects were like {P, V, T}, {S, E, T}, etc. combination of TD variables.

Everyone's got to monetize! I just submitted my own 2nd app to iTunes.
They're reviewing it now, calling it spam, because it's similar to the
first app I got published, Seenchi. I'm like, withdraw the first app
because players say it's too busy. Too many functions! KISS Principle.

Not surprisingly, other friends, in my age group, have suddenly lost their
jobs in SW IT. I'm like: Welcome To The Club==Machine. PinkFloydIsmIshQ.
We're now combining our forces/skills to somehow make a decent living.

USA jobs are like this: Let's expel old people, our insurance bill vanishes.

I'm very impressed by you Starmaker! Finally! I knew this day would in space
time come. Good Q! I had new names built up just for you, like StrawFruiter.
Still, StrawFarter is a classic! StrawSucker is cute too. But I digress...

You StrawBalls are a four-dimensional object. Got mirror? You StrawSucker
occupy a three dimensional space volume and walk through time. Ergo, 3D+Time=4D.

Why am I here? Why is here here, there, or anywhere?! Rhythm... free my soul...

If a 4D = 3D+Time...and a you call it a four-dimensional "object"..

We/Us/They Physicists have a propensity to abuse the English Words. You're welcome!

You remember M*A*S*H? Hawke(y)e? He did inspire me to drink, btw. He had space
to take only one book with him to the war. Hawkeye chose to take The Dictionary.
Why it? Sir HawkeyeJi figured all the other books were already in there! Drunk!

Try not to dwell on individual words too much, Starmaker. For many reasons.
One being, ever memorize a Sanskrit/German/Chinese/Russian/... dictionary?

Time is a dimension. It impacts us all. Time touches us all. So yes, correct.

They say Time Is Money. Well, Mangos Are Money. Are Mangos then Time?!

Ok... not exactly what I expected. But so be it. I wear no turban.

Do you have any turban wearing friends, RacistStrawShitter? Name one.

Do you even know what colour my turban is? Btw, I have more than one.

I suppose you lost interest in the topic. Your choice. Take care.

I thought the Russians were now and again trying to ruin this country? RT News.

Immigrant Song or In the days of my youth... Led Zeppelin... Good Times Bad Times...

The one with the semened blue dress she couldn't afford to swallow? Monica...
Bill: Is means Is. Sometimes Is means Yes. At times Is means No. Just suck...

Bill: In hindsight, she is so fat Fat FAT. SuckYouBusted! Worst date ever! Vodka?

Colour. I grew up in Delhi, I have a preference for the British English Language.
I love Benny Hill, Yes Prime Minister, Douglas Adams, Beatles, Queen, Moody Blues,
Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, The Who, 1984, ShakesHisSpeare, Turing, Sir Issac Newton,
Charles Darwin, David Attenborough, Roger Moore, Sean Connery, Wimbledon, etc. ...

It's possible I overreacted to StrawSuckers' one-liner. But not likely.
I give/gave him a long-winded decent answer, and he's focused on my tight
turban fashion sense. C'mon?! Here's a recent exchange between him and I...

\begin{Exchange On Saturday, June 3, 2017}
StrawSucker: There is a difference between the definition of a
scientist, and YOUR definition of a scientist.

StrawSucker: But with a name like Mahipal, I don't expect you to
understand the inglish language...Do you speak ...7-11?????

Mahipal: My nickname is Paul. Roots? Mahipal... Maple... M(y) Pal... Paul. Call me Roger.

Mahipal: So silly, and quick to the race card, and you did it in inglish, StrawFaker!
One should get a real name of their own before mocking others with real names.

Mahipal: 7-11? Is that like two blocks from 9/11? WTC7? You watch too much Simpsons.

Past is predicate. Still, I was being, even for me, very polite, regardless.
Sad but true, Racisim in USA definitely still exists. Watch today's headlines.

Me m(y) standards are too high! O wait... your accent is thick, through my turban.

I don't wear sandels. I hate sandels. Flip/Flop. I'd rather be barefoot.
Perhaps you ought not focus too much on my wardrobe. I've already admitted
to dressing like GandhiJi, just check recent surveillance tapes in DC and NYC.

> do you play a ...zitar?

Sitar, not zitar. Sadly, no. But... Ziggy played guitar -- David Bowie.
I have tried playing actual bamboo flutes. I'm not very good at it.

Not only walk, one can just sit through time. Not a Buddhist you. Aum...

Look Starmaker, I apologize if I was defensive/rude/mean. Very sorry, I am.
Get lost now. Take care. Work out your own issues with English Dictionaries.
I'll spend/waste my limited time wading through Sanskrit words, as a hobb(y)...
