Okay...yous seem to be having trouble...picturing
an edge to the universe.

How about...

take the Universe..
the whole Universe..
what I mean is
the entire Universe
and everyhting
that is contain in it.

Everything in the entire
universe that is contained in it.

From top to bottom.

From one edge of the
entire universe to
the other side of the
entire universe.

The whole shabam!

Eveything in it!!

Everything contained in it.

'contained in it.'

And rightly so, as there is no edge.

--------

Well, there is an 'edge' to the universe. But it is a relativistic edge since it is expanding at almost light speed. For us this means no observable edge, yet still an edge

I can ride my bike about 100 miles in a day, so a circle with radius
100 miles has an edge. What's and edge and what's not an edge is in
   the mind of the beholder.

As far as the observable universe goes, no matter where you are
in it, you can see out to a radius defined as the time light has had
to travel--always changing, and different content for every observer.

Well of course Time must have a stop...
Time stops every second, and then it stars again.

Eventually, Time will begin to unwind...

and when no one wounds the clock..Time will stop..

just about the time it reaches the edge..

just in time.

Beyond the edge
there is no time..

as there was no time before the begining.

In other words...

you can take a simple camera
and capture..
a moment in time.

A Kodak Moment.

Or, you can take a movie camera
and watch the world
go by
one frame at a time.

If you can slow down a ...tic

to a point where the next tic
does not tic...

time stops.

Have you ever listen to a clock's last tic?

Does it slow down before the last tic, or does it just stop ticking??

Where's Einstein, i gotta ask him..see what he says...

He's probably say..."GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE!!!"

Then I'll have to tell him, "You fuckin commie!!"

The reason why you cannot travel into the future is because..
time stops.

You cannot send messages into the future because the future does not
exist...yet.

The future is created..each second, to keep you from jumping ahead of
...Time.

When it comes to the subject of Time....I'm a fuckin expert!

Perhaps that is because there IS NO EDGE to the universe
and some people have to hear it more than once before the get it.

There must be, as that Universe allegedly got created from a restrictive
delimited area, territory or control volume. That MUST have at least one
continuous edge. (allocated Normal vector to it, of course) (check you
Mathematics background. And make sure)

You are correct -- no edge.

How can the Universe be infinite if it was all concentrated into
a point at the Big Bang?

You ask the wrong question, dude. According to the statement you quote,
you should ask "how can the Universe not have an edge "if it was all
concentrated into a point at the big bang" ". Your arguments comes out of
your sorry ass.

The curvature of space and the illusion of infinity

Both physicists and religious leaders incorporate infinity when describ-ing reality. Physicists claim that the universe is infinite in its size, while religious leaders claim that god is infinite in his power and his wisdom. But infinity can exist only in mathematics and in imaginations. We have no problems in imagining infinity. That is because compared to the universe, we are so small and compared to god, we are so lacking, and compared to the age of the universe, our life span is so short. Many physicists agree with religious leaders that there is no beginning of time. They both claim that time is infinite. It is easy to imagine time to be infinite, because our fleeting moment of reality is so very short and we move so very slowly compared to the speed of light. Time exists only as a man-made concept of measuring motion. Man, for all intents and purposes, is motionless, and lives and dies at the same place in the vast universe where he is born.

It is also easy to imagine space to be infinite, because the space we find ourselves in on the earth is so very small compared to the size of the universe. Space exists only as a frame of reference for measuring position. Man, for all intents and purposes, lives on a 2 dimensional finite surface without any edges and without a center. This is because we are stuck on a very large extending film that is insignificantly thin, the surface of the sphere, our earth. Stuck on the ground, we can choose a direction, and be able to travel in that direction without ever reaching an edge. This is an illusion of infinity. In that light, the entire universe can be looked on as if it occupies a relatively thin shell of a finite area of a relatively large sphere. This shell is without any edges or a center. Its 2 inner surfaces are like mirrors reflecting all light inbe-tween. As we look at the sky, we see its vast extension within the shell. As we look directly up, out of the shell, light is reflected and is guided and kept within the shell. There is no edge or center to the universe just like there is no edge or center to our earth`s surface. Not having an edge or center is an illusion of infinity.

The truth is that the nature of the universe is being revealed to be more like that envisioned by Giordano Bruno than Einstein.
