Was at Dentist today used a battery powered X-Ray, looked like a larger plastic gun, did not use film, but used a digital microchannel plate w xray floresent inside plastic case. Lower X ray intensity. remember when the motor would wind up and provide a large burst of current for the large xray tube to do an xray ? Amaze your friends! While working at the NIST in Gaithersburg Md I ran into the inventors of this device. This was in about 1988. They had a special device like this for the military. It is amazing image reconstruction theory. I guess the military decided to release the technology. The exact names of the inventors are Jullian Sparrow and Dr. Motz I believe.
