To reduce drag the tip of the projectile could emit some air or gas at Mach 160 and that will simply blow the air in front of it away, and thus drag will be reduced. The projectile will have an air cushion around it, travelling at its own speed. Let us not forget, that with this speed the projectile will be out of the atmosphere in less than half a second.

At the drag areas (the nose, cockpit, sides) they could blow air from the plane in front to clear the still air away, thus putting the whole plane in an effective cushion, that will reduce the drag considerably. Less drag means either more speed or less powerful engines drinking less oil.

Of course pigs ARE filthy animals! Here's some science for all you food
eaters our there. Long long long ago, humans (like Chinese and probably
some others) made the scientific discovery that when Humans consume food
they do NOT completely extract all the nutrition out of it. In fact one
can have a pig living in a latrine eating human excrement getting along
just fine! The humans get a pig for free and the pig is as happy as a
pig in...well you know! Win-win! Well, almost. What about the safety of
eating a latrine pig? Well it turns out that the pig's digestive system
and biology acts as a pretty good filter to the nasty diseases and
toxins expected in a human shit-hole and thus eating latrine pigs has
been a common practice among the very poor for centuries.

Personally I'm not quite so sure I'd trust biology that much. A pig fed
on rotten cabbage and tomatoes is more my style, but hey the mother of
necessity and all...
