Why ? It just follows different rules.
Aside of that, you ideas have to address
both crystalline and gas cases.

It can easily do so, if you do the proper analysis.

Which one ? From the mean molecule gas speed and gas thermal capacity
is easily derivable its thermal conductivity, with the gas theory.
