agree with most of that, and I think that 1/2 of all the PhDs in Physics 
are crazy/nuts/lala  and the other 1/2 are brillient

I also worked for 2 startups started up by PhDs (they were brillient, 
focused, had great customer skills, and well connected. PhD in EE, and 
Software.   Both companies tanked after about 5 years, mostly due to 
changing market - external causes.

agree with that, but MBAs tend to bring in more money/contracts, and the 
business degrees are very lousy at math, even their textbooks.
I have great respect for the PhDs that started the companies, they could 
do the very hard math too, Markov Chain etc...

but it is hard to generalize

checkout "Efficient Frontier" to see the *major sand* under the 
foundation of Wall Street.
