Space time could loose 2 of its dimensions near black holes
-----------------------------------------------------------

Thinking of how to make space time stable near a black hole.

If space time falls into a black hole, then any object
in a stable orbit computed from estimated masses
would inexplicably be pulled in as the space gets
consumed.

Somehow I don't believe that :)

More likely that space loses one or more dimensions
to make itself stable.

A paper is 2D and wraps around a 3D sphere if it
is electro statically charged. When electricity
is turned off, the forces are gone and the paper
is free to crumple in 3 dimensions.

The same could happen to space time.
As it gets compressed near a black hole surface it can
lose a dimension to wrap itself around the black hole.
As you travel further out from the black hole,
space time can re-gain its 3rd dimension.

Interestingly this condensate could also loose the time
dimension. We know time slows near intense gravitational
fields, but may be near black hole surfaces, the time
dimension is also completely lost which is effectively
saying time grinds to a halt, which isn't un-reasonable.

But this kind of gradual loss of the time dimension
is fatal to any ideas of time travel.
There is no way to churn this space time material that is
loosing one geometric and one time dimension slowly
as it nears a black hole.
These effects act in concert to conserve causality.
There is way to churn this material
as to create all the fantastic
non-causal effects dreamt up in sci-fi.

On the other side of the black hole surface is the
firewall of light trapped there millimetres behind
the black hole. Gravity intensity drops off to
zero at centre of the black hole, so as you
travel deeper into a black hole, the lost time
and space dimension are re-gained and it would
be a very violent place to be with an incredible amount
of activity.
