This is a Usenet newsgroup, not a website.  With Google groups, you are 
merely using an archive of/interface to it on the Web.

And if you care to read a few words further, I have explained why the 
mathematical definition is relevant in physics.

There was no emphasis.  You were referring to a definition of “dimension”, 
_not_ “spatial dimension”, found in one of the dictionaries that you had 
access to.  You were mistakenly using that to claim that there could be
only spatial dimensions.  That was a mistake of yours because even that 
definition, a “measurable extent”, allows for a temporal dimension: extents 
in time (periods) can be measured, for example by use of a clock.

No, of course not.  “spatial” is the adjective to “space” (from Latin 
«spatium»: “space”, “room”, “extent”); “temporal” is the adjective to
“time” (from Latin «tempus»: “time”, “period”, “age”)
