One thing for certain, you are never going to say that the circumference of a circle is the same distance from S' as it is from S. Notice that I am just talking about algebra, not actually showing the equations.

I can still show algebra to you though. OK, here is what we will do. Since all of these philosophers say I am wrong, all you have to do is show the error. We will take the example of a GPS satellite. A GPS satellite is orbiting earth at an altitude of about 12,000 miles. We add another 2000 miles to that for the radius of the earth, and we have the radius of the orbit. The velocity of a GPS satellite is about 14,000 km/hr. Now we know scientists will want to use kilometers and miles interchangeably because they are both distances, the way they do GPS satellite seconds and earth clock seconds, but we will convert kilometers to miles anyway. So 14,000 km/hr would be about 6,700 miles per hour. So the circumference of an orbit of the satellite is 87,920 miles. So then all we have to do is divide 87,920 by 6,700, and we have the time it takes for the satellite to make an orbit, 13.12 hrs. But scientists tell us that the clock in the satellite is faster than the clock on earth we used for these calculations, so a clock in the satellite is going to show more time than 13.12 hours for one orbit of the satellite. That means that according to the time of the clock in the satellite, the velocity of the satellite is going to be less than 6,700 miles per hour. Then scientists say they adjust the rate of the clock in the satellite so that it agrees with the clock on the ground. So what I would do is say that the time of the clock in the satellite before it is adjusted is n', the time of the clock in the satellite after it is adjusted is t', and the time of the clock on earth is t. Consequently, t'=t, which is exactly what the Galilean transformation equations say t' is. Now you say that you and Odd Bodkin and all of these philosophers you quoted have found a mistake in the foregoing explanation. So now go ahead and explain the error you have found.

I did not even apply a transform. I just used the equation for the circumference of a circle and figured out what the length of an orbit was. Then I divided the speed of the satellite into the length of an orbit to get the time it would take the satellite to make an orbit. Then I said that scientists had said that the clock in the satellite was faster than an identical clock on earth, so if the clock in the satellite was used to calculate the speed of the satellite, you would get a slower speed, and according to that clock it would take the satellite longer to make an orbit. Then I said that scientists had said they adjusted the clock in the satellite to match the time of a clock on earth, so I was calling the time of the clock before it was adjusted n' and the time after it was adjusted t'. So then t' would equal t just like in the Galilean transformation equations. I did not say I used the Galilean transformation equations. I just said that t'=t. So tell me something. Isaac Newton did not have anyone telling him that he was not allowed to use t'=t when he calculated the orbit of the moon. Why is it when I do the same thing he did with a GPS satellite, you go insane?

I do not care what scientists or aliens at Area 51 do. I use the Galilean transformation equations because the Galilean transformation equations do not have a length contraction. So here is the situation. I gave you the length of the orbit of a GPS satellite. I gave you the time it takes for the satellite to make one orbit according to a clock on earth. So what is happening now? Did aliens make contact with scientists and say there was someone using the Galilean transformation equations to describe relativity? Tell the aliens that it does not matter if the rate of the clock in the satellite is faster than the rate of a clock on earth. The length of the orbit does not change. All that happens is that the aliens will get a slower speed for the satellite if it has a faster clock. They are the correct equations for relativity. I can tell you what a clock on earth reads and what a faster clock in the satellite reads for any position of the satellite in its orbit. What else am I supposed to want to do? When scientists adjust the clock in the satellite, it is no different from when I used to adjust a radar repeater so that the distance to a target was correct on the repeater. I was not actually changing the distance to the target; I was changing the display on the repeater so that it matched the distance to the target. The distance from a GPS satellite to earth does not change just because scientists say it does. The length of the orbit of a GPS satellite does not change just because scientists say it does. I know how adjustments and calibrations work. I used to have to make them almost every day. Changing the rate of a clock does not change distances.
