And just like most of those 'idiot' scientists, you too cant do junior highschool algebra as you implicitly acknowledged. So you are in no position to discuss SR. There is the ability to reconcile with experimental data. Often times you will find a theory that is perfectly sensible algebraically, with not a single mathematical mistake anywhere, that is nonetheless wrong, because experimental data has been found that is inconsistent with it. This is precisely what is wrong with the Galilean transformations. Nothing mathematically wrong at all with them. Still wrong, though. -- Odd Bodkin --- maker of fine toys, tools, tables

If there was a mistake, you would have shown it long ago. The calculus shows light traveling at c in both frames of reference according to the Galilean transformation equations. That is why you think there might be a mistake. So if you find a mistake, go ahead and show it.

Robert, if someone showed you something that he had attempted to weld but obviously had no idea what he was doing, you might either say "Here, let me teach you how to weld," or "Son, you screwed that welding up pretty badly, so have you given any thought to learning how to weld?" or "I don't think it's worth my time looking at something when you didn't know what you were doing." There is no one else here who is going to do any welding. This farmer does not know how to weld. That was the reason why he offered me this trailer to live in. The people who bring me things to weld do not know how to weld. If they did, they would do it themselves. So it is the same with relativity. Scientists all use the Lorentz equations, so they do not know anything about relativity. Scientists have everyone else convinced that relativity is too difficult for them to understand and only scientists should try. So I am going to just keep using the Galilean transformation equations.

I just showed you how to do the calculus. Now, it's pretty obvious that the way you do the calculus ends up with a different result than what happens when physicists do the calculus, but I wouldn't take that to mean that it's the scientists that don't know what they're doing. Would you? No, I think it's pretty indicative that you don't know how to do calculus. After all, using your version of calculus, you came up with the conclusion that the Galilean transformations show that the speed of light should be frame-independent, when it is well known (and easy to show with calculus) that the speed of light would be frame-dependent with Galilean transformations. -- Odd Bodkin --- maker of fine toys, tools, tables

An S' second is a longer period of time than an S second. If you just say an S' second = an S second, then you are going to end up with a length contraction. Did you ever consider that what you are doing might cause a length contraction?

An S' second is a longer period of time than an S second. I think there is something you're missing here, Robert. Surely you know that to an observer at rest in S', the clock in S is running slow (according to observations). This means that the S second is a longer period of time than an S' second. What you said is also true: For an observer at rest in S, the clock in S' is running slow (according to observations). This means that the S' second is a longer period of time than an S second. Nope. SR does not say that and there are no such exp's. You are very confused. What SR and exp's show is that as the 'moving clock' arrives "over there" it will show a lesser value than the "non moving" clock already there.

Who are you to decide? is this a trick question? which one is moving? well, lo-tech solution, get a ball of twine, set it in a spindle, glue one end to the clock and watch to see how much the twine unwinds? or hi-tech, fix one of those neat little wifi webcams inside the clock and watch the pretty pictures it beams back from its travels? i mean, come on! there must be literally a zillion ways to do it!!

Well, that can be shown wrong without any trouble. Hafele and Keating said that if a clock was flown around the earth in the direction of rotation, it would be slower than an identical clock kept on the ground. This was determined by comparing the clocks after the plane had landed. So that experiment proves the Galilean transformation equations, not the Lorentz equations.

The result of the HKX is that the clock arriving "over there" indicated a lesser value than the clock already tehre, as you just agreed to. This is what the LT's predict. And this is NOT what the GT predict AS YOU AGREED TO. Remeber, YOU said that the GT predict that the clock arriving "over there" will indicate a value of t(1-v/c). So now you resort to lies and self contradictions to support your imagination. How many fairies you see flying around your head at this moment?
