But nor do you. There is no universal homogeneous aether. Fields are made of 'aether' (for want of a better word). Where fields exist there is an 'aetherlike region' in which light speed is modified to some extent, depending on field strength. In remote space, field strengths are below a critical threshold and light behave 100% ballistically.

I heard long ago about this type of improvisations... probably made by C.Mead: http://freespace.virgin.net/ch.thompson1/People/CarverMead.htm It's a high speculatory... interpretational ideology rather than any strict, formal theory... something like these alternative many interpretations in the QM. These are plainly wrong and superfluous - all without exception. Simply: the whole 'interpretational science' is just a stupid nonsense! > In remote space, field strengths are below a critical threshold and light > behave 100% ballistically. Is this another assumed/postulated idiocy? :) The light is a wave idiot!

Light certainly has wavelike properties when intercepted. So do the teeth of a moving sawblade.

If there is a universal aether, how did it get here and where does it end? Yes, it is... detected permanently. The ether don't have any boundary, due to the obvious infinity of the universe, which is supported by the strict logics: anything can not exist nowhere actually, because there something exists already, and undoubtedly. Simply: the nothingness is a false state in this world. > Light certainly has wavelike properties when intercepted. So do the teeth of a > moving sawblade. It's a strict weve unfortunately, not any wavelike... trick, which the imbecilic ideology QM promotes. The Arago experimentum crucis! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arago_spot

Henry, Is part of what you're saying that actual light being a wave is a human construct? A way people use to try to understand light but not really what light is? Some will say the wave nature is a property. But is even that a human construct to try to understand light rather than how it actually is? And as you say, we can generate em radiation in waves like sine waves etc. But that's just us creating those waves and that's different from actual light? And since light waves are a human construct, that's why there is no real frequency or wavelength? So light speed can not be directly measured by them... Or something like that?

To this day, nobody has put forward a decent model of light in transit. __ Henry Wilson DSc.
