Joni Mitchell once said: "Bob Dylan is not authentic at all. He's a
plagiarist and his name and voice are fake. Everything about Bob is a
deception...."

After much consideration and much soul-searching I find that I can follow no other course of action than to formally request that this forum revoke the top security clearance of Athel-Cornish, Mainly-in-Error. This request to revoke his security clearance is predicated on what can only be construed as the pro-Fuchs, pro-Julius and Ethel sentiments expressed by Athel in the preceding post. I request that he be officially excluded from all further threads concerned with atomic secrets. As for Athel, may he find consolation in the possibility that Bob Dylan will write a song for him too.

Albert Einstein sent a letter recommending Klaus Fuchs to work at the Manhattan Project...

Here are excepts of the fbi file on einstein:

Einstein was the one who requested Fuchs assignment to him

Einstein had sent for him to help work on the atom bomb

Professor Einstein, after reading the younger Fuchs papers on nuclear energy, considered him valuable to the Allied war effort

Because he didn't. It was Lise Meitner who did. (with Otto Frisch)
Hahn by himself was clueless about his findings,
and he asked her (by letter) to tell him what he had found.
She told him, and proposed a suitable experiment to prove it.
Hahn did the experiment, and confirmed that she was right about it.

Lise Meitner was in Sweden, having had to flee Nazi persecution.
The Nobel committee was too anti-semitic and too anti-feminist
to recognise her fundamental breakthrough,

The plot concentrated on an obscure hearing in which RJO was deprived of his top secret security clearance for not championing the H bomb in a timely manner and for his former association with the American Communist Party. Einstein, the traitorous Klaus Fuchs and all the usual scientific suspects were portrayed in the movie. Not portrayed: the 220,000 casualties at Hiroshima and Nagasaki, the crew of the Enola Gay, nor Richland WA, the site of the second nukular reactor ever built. The movie was somewhat abstract. Lots of smash edits to all sorts of things. Once during the security committee hearing Oppy was suddenly copulating with his paramour in front of the committee. The timeline was no linear. I might have more to type later. I am interested in Dono's review.

I'm pretty sure that physic's perennial bag of wind for decades, Richard Fyneman, had a cameo portrayal in the movie. Just after a successful Trinity test, as the scientists cheer with joy over the successful detonation, we catch a momentary glimpse of a silhouetted figure ecstatically banging away on a set of bongos up a ladder. But no lines or close ups. The bongos are supposed to be enough, I guess.
