I don't know what you intend by that. It provides the centre of rotation 
and angular velocity in the frame of the observer.

It's just requires a bit of thought to find a suitable variant. Instead 
of finding the centre, you can find the opposite side. The centre is 
then midway between.

Of course, I still haven't addressed the situation where the observer is 
shot dead before making the measurements.
