Of course, this was in the early 1930's when
Albert Einstein began his quest to build the atomic bomb.

Since it was never done before he had to orchestrate  the whole thing.

But one guy said to Einstein he'll give him the money he needs to build
his atomic bomb. (of course for a piece of the action)

"to speed up the experimental work" .....the bomb.
