Karl Marx broached the subject of not punching every guy's ear & putting a price tag on them. We were all pigs in a pen to be slaughtered in a month before Karl Marx set his pen down on the page and began to write Science Fiction. Nowadays, we can read our Karl Marx by the fireplace instead of waiting in line for our throats to be cut while our hearts are still beating. An alternate future, you may say. I'm going to allow it while you are using this app. -- Sometimes I just feel like I need to get away A place where I can be by myself, all alone I kinda lay down in the back yard Watch the leaves fall down on my face

I don't know what he said about ears, and counting them. We don't know whether even more people would have been killed if he had /not/ written that book. So that causal connection is our /attribution/. Marx could not possibly anticipate all effects of his book. But saying he "killed" people sounds as if he had intended the effect of people dying. Someone gets killed in a car accident. That car was only there because another man before decided to use his usual route to work, which indi- rectly delayed the first car a bit, otherwise there would have been no accident. So did the other man "kill" the first man? Oh, I only now see this topic already is labeled, "It's about the Butterfly Effect".

Well, that's bickering over past history, or crying over spilled milk. The people who did the insurrections, and subsequently put incompetent people in charge of food production -- with aforementioned consequences -- used Karl's book. Had they used some other book for the same purpose we would be making fun of that connection, and not this one. The sad reality is that this happened more than once, using Karl's book. -- Johann | email: invalid -> com | http://www.myrkraverk.com/blog/ I'm not from the Internet, I just work there. | via Easynews.com https://bsky.app/profile/myrkraverk.bsky.social | for ( ;; ) _:; Federated at https://fed.brid.gy/bsky/myrkraverk.bsky.social

In Brooklyn trees I used to watch caterpillars turn into cacoons, then a butterfly. Does that mean the caterpillar dreams he's a butterfly now? He fluttered about happily, doing as he pleased, completely unaware that he was a human named Zhuang Zhou. When he suddenly woke up, he was unmistakably himself again. This left him with a deep question: Was he a man who had dreamt he was a butterfly, or is he now a butterfly dreaming that he is a man? -- The Starmaker -- To question the unquestionable, ask the unaskable, to think the unthinkable, mention the unmentionable, say the unsayable, and challenge the unchallengeable.

Or is he now a butterfly dreaming he is a catterpilla? The Butterfly Effect is hurting my head. I must be dreaming but, but I did dream I was a catterpilla and I woke up.. and now I'm the catterpilla dreaming I'm the starmaker! -- The Starmaker -- To question the unquestionable, ask the unaskable, to think the unthinkable, mention the unmentionable, say the unsayable, and challenge the unchallengeable.
