Then there are all the non-believers who keep quiet about their
skepticism to keep peace in the family, or avoid persecution,
or just to keep the nosey parker, busybody evangelistas from
godbothering them.

To hear christian preachers tell, HUGE amounts of nominal Xtians
don't really _believe_ and are goin' to HAAAAALLLE!

See also, enthusiasts for other religions similarly exercised over

Which means what? Numbers alone prove something?

As I have frequently asked and you of course have never answered -
does that mean back when your superstition was just starting out and
only a few people had even heard of it does that mean the numbers
involved made it invalid?

Just how many does it take to 'prove' a superstition is valid?

Because it has never been validated as far as what it says is
concerned. How does anyone know it's contents are not pure mythology?
After all, a lot of it is a bit unlikely, and physically impossible.

So what? It isn't the first time.

And I am in good company. Many people were in a minority when they
first took a position, and were later shown to be correct. Sometimes
a minority of one.

Amusing. That would make every superstition valid wouldn't it?

Why do you keep mentioning my position is in a minority and most
people disagree with me when it only takes one to "validate"
something?

“Now, there was about this time Jesus, a wise man, if it be lawful to
call him a man, for he was a doer of wonderful works—a teacher of such
men as receive the truth with pleasure. He drew over to him both many of
the Jews, and many of the Gentiles. He was [the] Christ; and when
Pilate, at the suggestion of the principal men amongst us, had condemned
him to the cross, those that loved him at the first did not forsake him,
for he appeared to them alive again the third day, as the divine
prophets had foretold these and ten thousand other wonderful things
concerning him; and the tribe of Christians, so named from him, are not
extinct at this day.”

Scholarly opinion varies on the total or partial authenticity of the reference in Book 18, Chapter 3, 3 of the Antiquities, a passage that states that Jesus the Messiah was a wise teacher who was crucified by Pilate, usually called the Testimonium Flavianum.[4][5][1] The general scholarly view is that while the Testimonium Flavianum is most likely not authentic in its entirety, it is broadly agreed upon that it originally consisted of an authentic nucleus, which was then subject to Christian expansion/alteration. [5][6][7][8][9][10] Although the exact nature and extent of the Christian redaction remains unclear,[11] there is broad consensus as to what the original text of the Testimonium by Josephus would have looked like.[9]

One doesn't have to be a believer to allow that a man, known to some as
Yeshua bar Yussuf, Issa, Jesus Christ, etc, may have lived in what is
modern day Israel/Palestine. The legends may have accreted to the historical
personage, or Jesus may be a completely legendary person.

It still comes down to a matter of belief.

I'm considering starting a philosophy I call astarmakerism.

It is the opinion of many scholars his writings were altered centuries
ago to fit the necessary pattern. There is no independent
verification from any other sources supporting him.

how about this guy?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tacitus#Tacitus_on_Christ

“Consequently, to get rid of the report, Nero fastened the guilt and
inflicted the most exquisite tortures on a class hated for their
abominations, called Christians by the populace. Christus, from whom the
name had its origin, suffered the extreme penalty during the reign of
Tiberius at the hands of one of our procurators, Pontius Pilatus, and a
most mischievous superstition, thus checked for the moment, again broke
out not only in Judaea, the first source of the evil, but even in Rome,
where all things hideous and shameful from every part of the world find
their centre and become popular. Accordingly, an arrest was first made
of all who pleaded guilty; then, upon their information, an immense
multitude was convicted, not so much of the crime of firing the city, as
of hatred against mankind. Mockery of every sort was added to their
deaths. Covered with the skins of beasts, they were torn by dogs and
perished, or were nailed to crosses, or were doomed to the flames and
burnt, to serve as a nightly illumination, when daylight had expired.”

How about him? It appears he was born after the events supposedly
occurred and the major players were dead therefore the could not have
seen anything himself but must have worked from third party accounts.
Were these verified accounts? What were they and how were they
verified?

Some of the Republican positions I find disgusting and abhorrent.

Most of the Democratic positions I find terrifying, especially
those proposed by His Imperial Majesty Emperor Ass.

Any day now I expect some liberal to demand a government
