Neither requires a login. ChatGPT nags you; but doesn't require it. Google Gemini only nags you to upgrade; but doesn't require it either. Good luck. Let us all know how it works as I have an old iPhone also.

Oh, I have no doubt which is the best, but I hate to say it, because it's from Google (actually ABC bought it from DeepMind so it's kind of not). I may be wrong, as I have only been testing the chatgpt & Gemini web interface on Windows against each other for about the past week or so. I paste the EXACT same question of both of them. CoPilot too. But CoPilot is not on Android or iOS so I will ignore Copilot for this. Hands down, unfortunately, Google AI results are far better than ChatGPT. Although both make mistakes that are sophomoric. They don't check things. Both will apologize profusely when you catch them in an error. But Google Gemini realizes its mistakes way (way!) sooner than ChatGPT. It's shockingly bad how many "turns" it takes to get ChatGPT to be right. An example is I asked for a greyhound bus schedule out of Yreka California and an Amtrak train schedule out of nearby Weed California and then I asked the same question for Dunsmuir California (all three are near each other). Try it. Watch what happens if you ask what buses come out of there. (Hopefully they both learned by now the correct answer.) Neither gave me the correct answer (as I knew the correct answer). But hopefully both learned by now (as that's the main point of AI). I've been asking the *same* questions of both of them for a week now. By far, unfortunately, Gemini puts ChatGPT to shame. Too bad. ChatGPT makes the dumbest of mistakes, like if you ask it for a URL to a site, it gives you a URL which is completely fabricated. It doesn't test it. At least Google Gemini, when it gives you a Url, that URL is real. So, if you ask my opinion, at the moment, ChatGPT sucks compared to Gemini. To bad as I'm no fan of Google. BTW, one nice thing about ChatGPT is you can say: Hey Siri - call ChatGPT (1.800.chat.gpt) It will call it (if you put "ChatGPT" in your contacts, of course.) But you only get 15 minutes a month.

I forgot to mention Siri is awful even with basic questions. :(

Here's how I did it at the old people's home that I volunteer at. 1. Put 1.800.chatgpt in your phone contacts as "chatgpt". 2. Then say, "Hey Siri... call ChatGPT" 3. It will call and you can ask the question by voice and it will respond by voice. But.... a. I think it works only in the USA. b. And I think it's limited to 15 minutes per month. c. And... I think there's no way to extend that limit... I also forgot to mention that the Gemini app (at least on Android), will listen to a voice question & talk out the answer also. The reason talking is important is because these older people (older than I am anyway) can't really use their fingers all that much anymore. So I'm desperately trying to find them a way to ask AI questions without them having to pay money to get the app to listen to a voice query and to speak out the answer. So far, the best two I have found are those above, but there may be others.

I prefer not to give these services my phone numbers and e-mail addresses (should had mentioned this in my original post).

Wow, even if paying the service for those want to?

Ant <ant@zimage.comANT> wrote: > Like in 11 Pro Max? > > Thank you for reading and hopefully answering soon. :) Grok seems to be the most polished. I asked a simple question from Copilot, Gemini, Grok. Here are the results. Question: Did the NHL solve the booing during national anthem? --------------------- Copilot: The NHL has decided to maintain the tradition of playing national anthems before games, despite incidents of booing during performances. According to insiders, the league believes that sticking to tradition is the best course of action, even if it means dealing with occasional disruptions. Some teams may adjust their approach, such as avoiding young singers who might be affected by negative reactions. What are your thoughts on this approach? ------------- Grok: As of April 2, 2025, the NHL has not "solved" the issue of fans booing during national anthems in the sense of implementing a definitive league-wide policy or action that has completely stopped it. The booing, particularly between Canadian and American fans, gained attention during the 2025 4 Nations Face-Off tournament and other recent games, driven largely by political tensions over U.S. tariffs and comments from President Donald Trump about Canada becoming the "51st state." This sparked a back-and-forth where Canadian fans booed "The Star-Spangled Banner," and some American fans retaliated by booing "O Canada." The NHL has not publicly outlined a specific strategy to address this behavior beyond general calls for respect. For example, during the 4 Nations Face-Off final on February 20, 2025, in Boston, the public address announcer asked the crowd to respect both anthems, but boos were still audible during "O Canada." Similarly, at other events like the Toronto Blue Jays' Opening Day on March 27, 2025, the PA announcer urged fans to "be respectful" before the anthems, though booing persisted. These efforts suggest a preference for in-venue appeals rather than punitive measures or structural changes. NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman has acknowledged the issue in discussions, such as on a Fox News segment in early March 2025, where he noted the "fiery matchup" between the U.S. and Canada, including the anthem booing. However, no concrete league action—like fines, suspensions, or altering pre-game traditions—has been reported. The league seems to view it as a fan-driven expression tied to broader geopolitical sentiments rather than a problem requiring direct intervention. The booing has continued sporadically, with instances like New York Rangers fans booing "O Canada" on March 1, 2025, at Madison Square Garden, showing it hasn’t been fully curbed. Some argue it’s a natural part of sports rivalries, amplified by current events, while others see it as disrespectful. Without a clear resolution or policy shift from the NHL, it remains an ongoing phenomenon as of now, dependent more on fan behavior and external tensions than any league fix. ------------ Gemini: Based on the information available, the NHL has not "solved" the issue of booing during the national anthem. Here's a breakdown of what the information indicates: Recurring Issue: Booing during the national anthem, particularly in games involving U.S. and Canadian teams, has been a recurring issue, especially during the 4 Nations Face-Off. The booing has been linked to political tensions, such as trade disputes. NHL's Response: NHL officials, like Deputy Commissioner Bill Daly, have made pleas for fans to maintain politeness. However, these pleas have not consistently stopped the booing. The NHL has also stated that they are not planning to change their pre-game national anthem routines. Context: The booing appears to be tied to broader political and social tensions, making it a complex issue. The players on the ice have also been seen to be feeding into the intensity of the games, which can also increase the intensity of the crowds reactions. In summary, while the NHL has acknowledged the issue, it has not found a definitive solution to eliminate booing during the national anthem.

Deal breaker for me too. It looks like ChatGPT will be OK although I get
annoyed with its vibrations! I cannot turn it off in this app. There's
no setting for it. I don't want to turn it off for all apps. Just this app!
