The iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus have also been removed from Apple's website. The iPhone 14 will remain available from Apple's channel partners, while the iPhone 14 Plus has been discontinued entirely. https://9to5mac.com/2025/02/19/apple-unveils-new-iphone-16e-heres-everything-you-need-to-know/

Some day I'd like to write a book about what's so very different about you
strange Apple trolls who feel just because I can understand Apple's
marketing strategy means that I'm (somehow?) jealous of "everything Apple".
In a way, though, you're right in that I'm impressed by the brilliant Apple
marketing that sells what is in effect a cheap device, for tons of money.
Cheap batteries. Cheap RAM. Cheap hardware. Dumb-terminal design. etc.
People have to buy AppleCare+ just to keep that cheap iPhone working.
They spent so much keeping that cheap iPhone alive that they literally
stand outside in lines wrapping around the Apple store to trade it in.
All at the same time congratulating each of the herd animals next to them
who also can't wait even a minute to ditch their old iPhone at the store.
Just to get another crappy iPhone that Apple marketing tells them to do.
No different than Virginia Slims ("You've come a long way baby").
Apple couldn't get away with selling its crap without that marketing any
more than Big Tobacco could get away with for their cheap expensive cigs.
So, you're right Jolly Roger. I'm rather impressed by Apple Marketing.

It's very nicely formatted. You're good at this. You make good use of Apple's forums (e.g., I've seen your questions asked). You're NOT an Apple troll, so I appreciate your helpful input to this ng. The only problem with that link, as I see it anyway, is that it's slanted heavily toward Apple propaganda, understandably so. This means it will NEVER show you the real truth about certain things which we all know are historically terrible in the Apple iPhone. If finds a way to sugar coat what is terrible. Lousy battery capacity being one of those classic terrible iPhone things. For now, since we only learn how crappy Apple hardware is only AFTER iFixIt tears it down, we'll have to wait to compare how crappy the battery is. All we have are the leaked specs, which I had already reported: *Dismal battery, slower screen refresh, and smaller camera...* <https://www.forbes.com/sites/ewanspence/2025/02/09/apple-iphone-se-battery-camera-display-specs-leak-new-iphone/> Note that Apple will *never* tell the truth in that neatly formatted page. "...the iPhone SE's battery comes in at a reported 3,279 mAh. That's significantly lower than some of the key competing smartphones; the Google Pixel 8a sports 4,492 mAh, and both the Oppo Reno12 Pro and the Samsung Galaxy A55 have specs-busting 5,000 mAh. No doubt Apple will ... go with how many hours of "average daily use" and "streaming video" hours its phone can achieve, but again, the raw numbers of the iPhone SE fall short of the competition." All iPhones have crappy batteries - and this iPhone is no different. Almost all iPhones miserably fail the EU long-term battery-life minimums. The only iPhones that pass, *barely* squeak by, while most similarly priced Android phones easily double the minimum EU set battery life expectations. But you will never hear Apple tell you the truth. My new slogan should be: *I tell the truth. Not Apple.* :) Apple only tells the truth when forced to, in court (or by the EU).

For such an expensive phone, the iPhone 16e battery capacity is pathetic "iPhone 16e has a battery capacity of 3961 mAh" <https://9to5mac.com/2025/02/27/iphone-16e-battery-comparison/> Yet, the iPhone 14 has an even more pathetic battery capacity of 3,279 mAh. iPhone 14: 3,279 mAh iPhone 14 Plus: 4,325 mAh iPhone 14 Pro: 3,200 mAh iPhone 14 Pro Max: 4,323 mAh No wonder Apple is no longer allowed to sell the iPhone 14 in the EU after this summer due to the pitiful number of lifetime charge cycles before the battery drops below 80% (which Apple must certify to sell in the EU). As feeble as the iPhone 16 e battery capacity is, at least the iPhone 16e battery has a 121% bigger capacity than the lame iPhone 14 battery had. Note: My free $200 MSRP Galaxy A32-5G from 2021 has a 5 Amp Hour battery.

Which is utterly irrelevant. Available energy storage must be compared to power usage. Anyone of at least average intelligence understands this. It doesn't matter if my "bimmer" has a larger gas tank that my friend's Honda Civic... ...if the power usage of his engine allows him to travel further.
