My mom made me a tetromino[1]-piece bday cake. Very cool. But she couldn't find a way to cut a 4x6 cake into six different pieces. I can't either. Can anyone here? Here's the pieces she used: 1111 (blue) 222 2 (green) 3 333 (grey) 44 44 (yellow) 5 55 5 (pink) 66 66 (brown) proposed mirror-image replacement: XX XX For the green one, she had only the 3 corner pieces, and there was a single square (now eaten). I suppose the arrangement can either be all 7 tetrominoes in a 4x7 cake, or any 6 in a 4x6 cake. She didn't have a mirror-image piece for the brown piece (#6), so call it #X. I have a screen saver that does this sort of thing (XScreensaver module "Polyominoes"), but I can't enter data into it. Thanks.
